IPSA Fest Opened on Topic of “Trauma”

On May 10, 11 and 12, 2017, International University of Sarajevo is hosting festival and conference IPSA Fest, organized by International Student Psychologists Association (IPSA). The topic of this year’s IPSA Fest is “Trauma”, and the three-day conference includes lectures by several professors and experts, intended for students and staff of psychology, but also general audience.

The event was opened at the official ceremony by Dean of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Dr. Mustafa Bal, and Psychology program coordinator Dr. Anela Hasanagić, held on May 10, 2017.

Among professors who will take part in the conference and give lectures are: Prof. Dr. Gökhan Oral and psychologist Sema Sözer (the title of the lecture is Trauma in the triangle of Migration, Exile, Massacre, Conflict and War), Assist. Prof. Dr. Selvira Draganović (Trauma in the Heart: Broken Heart Syndrome), Assist. Prof. Dr. Sabina Alispahić (Trauma and Healing of Healers, etc.), Assist. Prof. Dr. Maida Koso (Cognitive Functions in PTSD and non-PTSD War Veteran), expert in practice Lucia Dighiero (Testimony and Trauma: War Crimes Victims Testifying in Court Proceedings), psychotherapists Amina Cerkić (Emotionally focused therapy in working with traumatized couples), and Tanja Tankosić.
