IUS Department of Economics and Management Welcomes High School Students to Winter School at FBA

IUS Winter School

The Department of Economics and Management at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA) recently hosted a Winter School for high school students, offering participants an engaging first-hand introduction to university life and business education at IUS.

Designed to inspire future students and help them explore their interests, the program brought together high schoolers, IUS academic staff, current students, and successful FBA alumni in a dynamic learning environment. Throughout the day, participants had the chance to hear directly from faculty members about the study programs, understand how business knowledge connects to real-world careers, and ask questions about studying at FBA.

A special highlight of the Winter School was the opportunity for students to connect with FBA alumni and current students, who shared honest perspectives on student life, learning experiences, and the skills that matter most in today’s job market. These conversations gave participants a clearer picture of what to expect from university studies and the many pathways an FBA education can open.

The program concluded with an interactive innovation workshop, where students worked in teams to develop creative ideas and present them in front of their peers - building confidence, collaboration, and communication skills along the way.

With its relaxed atmosphere, engaging activities, and a few pleasant surprises, the Winter School successfully combined learning and enjoyment, leaving participants motivated and inspired. The Faculty of Business and Administration looks forward to welcoming many of these students again as part of the IUS community.
