Delegation of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, with Vice President Mr. Dursun Topçu and representatives of the Istanbul Ticaret University headed by the President of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Hasan Erkeskin visited the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) on Wednesday, May 13, 2015. The delegation was led by the President of the Assembly of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and a member of the IUS Board of Trustees. IUS Rector, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu along with associates Vice-Rector, Assist. Prof. Dr. Muhamed Ali, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Korkut, Dean of Faulty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS), Prof. Dr. Fuat Gürcan and Secretary General of the IUS, Emir Hadžikadunić welcomed distinguished guests in his office.
Rector Oğurlu informed the guests about the current teaching facilities, goals and development plans of the IUS, its structure of professors and students, as well as future activities in the field of affirmation and promotion of the IUS in the world.
During the meeting, distinguished guests have also received information about the teaching process of the University, the principles of continuous strengthening of the teaching quality and services provided to students and business partners. Šekib Avdagić, Member of the IUS Board of Trustees emphasized that IUS mission for the past eleven years was to create conditions for the best education. '' We are proud to say that we have completed a huge part of the work and have proven the quality IUS has. We are also proud of the awards IUS has received so far, the number of students, quality academic staff, best conditions for education and very importantly international recognition '' - said Avdagić. At the end of the visit, the delegation visited also other Campus facilities such as research center and laboratories.
