On Thursday, 14 May 2014, an agreement was signed between the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) and the Mediterranean University in Podgorica. IUS Rector, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu and Prof. Dr. Hasan Hanić, Chairman of the Board of the Mediterranean University in Podgorica were the signing parties of the aforementioned agreement. Rector Oğurlu and Chairman Hanić stressed that they have a common goal of continuing the development and quality of education, with special emphasis on cooperation between the Faculty of Economics of the Mediterranean University and the IUS LIFE and LEC Centers.
During the meeting, Rector Oğurlu emphasized that one of the strategic goals of IUS focuses on strengthening the regional cooperation, and this agreement represents a result of already existing cooperation between the two respectful educational institutions. The ceremony of signing the agreement was held in the framework of the Sarajevo Business Forum. The signatories have also participated in the panel session "Educational sector in the region" with the aim of promoting the idea of having a larger number of foreign students studying in the countries of the Western Balkans.
