On Friday, May 13, 2022, International University of Sarajevo (IUS) organized 100% Scholarship Certificate Awards Ceremony for high school students from Bosnia and Herzegovina who got the best results in the IUS Scholarship Testing held on March 26, 2022 at the IUS Campus.
For the past 18 years, the Foundation for Education Development Sarajevo (SEDEF) has been awarding scholarships to students from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey and other parts of the world. The aim is to promote and encourage the achievements and talents of young people and offer them quality education which will help them build their future as they envision it. In addition, SEDEF Foundation Scholarship Program directly supports the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina by strengthening the foundations of its youth.
IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım welcomed the students and their families and expressed his wishes for the students' future excellent achievements in their education. He also added that IUS is proud to have such successful students and hoped that their education at IUS will support their interests and help them achieve their full potentials.
The President of SEDEF Foundation Mr. Hasan Topaloğlu also addressed the attendees and briefly spoke about the Foundation and its mission and vision to support successful young people in their quest for knowledge. He emphasized the importance of quality education and what the Foundation does to build IUS capacities and infrastructure in order to provide IUS students with the latest developments in education trends, science and technology.
The certificates were awarded by the President of SEDEF Foundation Mr. Hasan Topaloğlu and IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım.
