Signed protocol on cooperation with Omar Mukhtar University

In order to further develop research capacities, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) established cooperation with the Centre for Economic Development and Research (CEDAR). CEDAR is a non-governmental and non-political organization, with the main objective of promotion and assistance in economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina, through research and academic activities, as well as education and publishing in the field of economics and management.

The cooperation between IUS and CEDAR assumes organization of a series of trainings to IUS staff in different types of qualitative and quantitative research methods (e.g. sampling methods, focus groups, econometrics), which will be provided by experienced trainers from CEDAR.

These trainers participated in a number of trainings across the SEE region held by distinguished professors from Western Europe, which were organized by the University of Fribourg through their Regional Research Promotion Program (RRPP).

The trainings will be held every Wednesday, starting from March 6th, 2013, at the the Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA) of the International University of Sarajevo.

It is important to mention that the initiator of these joint projects between IUS and CEDAR organization, is Assist. Prof. Dr. Nermin Oruc, the president of the CEDAR organization and a teaching professor at the IUS Faculty of Business and Administration.
