VACD in cooperation with reconstructed Youth Theatre Sarajevo

Youth Theatre Sarajevo delegation visited IUS in regard to the signing of the Memorandum on Cooperation according to which the academics and students of VACD department will cooperate with the artists form the theatre on projects related to visual identity and creative solutions for advertising like web banners, video clips, trailers, photography, posters, flayers, sculpted props, set design, etc.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lejla Panjeta, Head of the Department of Arts, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Korkut and Assist. Prof. Dr. Muhamed Ali, used this opportunity to present IUS, FASS, our infrastructure, Gallery and programs, in order to enhance the quality of VACD studies and establishing strong cooperation within the art and design industry in the field of visual communications in professional environment in B&H. The delegates from the theatre were renowned Bosnian artist and General Manager Semir Krivić, writer Segor Hadžagić, famous actress and director Belma Lizde Kurt and Alisa Mujkić, economy manager.

Our ideas and possibilities for future projects were presented by professors Nermina Zildžo, Yasir M. Goz, Roman Sulejmanpašić, as well as Senior Assistants Emir Hambo and Nadir Herić. Artistic and designers’ solutions of visual identities are going to be incorporated into the curriculums of our students’ each course according to course holders syllabuses and requirements of job opportunities market and internship at the level of master studies and finishing years of BA studies. Cultural institutions in BiH and the region will have the opportunity to acquire cutting edge achievements in the field of arts and design from academic research and projects in visual communication of IUS.

During the previous semester the cooperation with Youth Theatre was started by graduate designer M. Furkan Hizir, working for the design of the Repertoire. General Manager of the Youth Theatre, famous actor Semir Krivić, was extremely satisfied with artistic style and professional delivery of the work done by our graduate Mr. Hizir. Youth Theatre is currently in the final phase of the building reconstruction, and therefore the management is prepared for new ideas in design coming from young artists, as well as the new visual identity, that will be offered by VACD.
