On Friday, 11 April 2014, a delegation of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) visited the Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired Children and Youth in Sarajevo. The delegation consisted of Hasan Topaloğlu, President of the Foundation for Education Development Sarajevo, Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu, Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhamed Hadžiabdić, Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs and Armin Kerić, Deputy to Secretary General.
University representatives were welcomed by the Director Dr. Damir Ovčina of the Centre, and his associates who presented their their work and activities, and also expressed a wish to continue cooperation with IUS. The International University of Sarajevo has recently awarded two 100% scholarships to students from this Center.
University scholarship recipients are Laid Čivić, which is currently a second year student at the Computer Science program and engineering and Dženana Brkić, first-year student in the program of English language and literature. It is important to say that the young students have integrated very well in this new English language learning environment and they showed a remarkable success during their studying.
