Rector of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu and Director of the First private primary school Isa-beg Ishaković, Nezira Popovac hosted a meeting with the delegation of the Republic of Turkey H. E. the Ambassador, Cihad Erginay, Advisor to Ambassador Engin Bayrak and Deputy of Ambassador Ümit Celaoğlu. The meeting was held on the premises of the primary school on Wednesday, September 9, 2015. Dean of the Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Korkut, Deputy Director of the Foundation for Education Development Sarajevo (SEDEF) Armin Kerić, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Metin Boşnak from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) and Coordinator of the Cambridge program at the Isa-beg Ishaković school Edina Karić attended this meeting as well. During the meeting, Rector of the International University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu and school director, Nezira Popovac welcomed distinguished ambassador and his associates and presented the current work of the school, more importantly the newly opened teaching program "Cambridge International Examinations". "Our school is currently attended by children from twelve countries. Offering Cambridge International Examinations, we managed to attract during this year a large number of children who come from different countries, cultures and religions.
In addition to regular courses in English and Bosnian children have the opportunity to learn German, Turkish, Persian and Arabic as well. It is also important to mention that this year we have added Turkish as a compulsory second foreign language at this school. We are doing everything in order to become a well recognized and best school, a school of international character and a place where children get a proper education. "- said Director Popovac. "Congratulations on your past and current work. I'm glad you have managed to enroll a large number of students from different countries and thus demonstrate international character and quality. I have heard all the best about your school and I take this opportunity to thank the owner of the school, the Rector, the Director and everyone else who participated in the success of the work of this school. I am certain that you will improve further in future and continue to offer quality education to young people, and thereby help build and make professionals that this country and the world need "- said HE. Ambassador Erginay.
With hopes for continuation of good cooperation in the future Rector Oğurlu thanked Ambassador Erginay for the sincere words and visit and said, "We had no doubt that this project will succeed because it has attracted a significant number of children. By opening the Cambridge program children that enroll at the school is increasing day by day. This is a success for which I want to thank the Director, Coordinator of the program and all the others who took part in this process. "At the end of the meeting the hosts, ambassador and his associates made a short visit to classrooms and talked with children and teachers.
