International publisher Buybook Sarajevo/Zagreb made the book launch “Te(r)oriziranje filma” whose author is Head of the Department of Arts of the International University of Sarajevo Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lejla Panjeta. In the Kabare of Youth Theatre on Monday, December 5th, the speakers on the topic of film and promoters of the book were Prof. Dr. Besim Spahic from Sarajevo and Ljubljana universities, dramaturge and writer Vedran Fajkovic, director Branko Vekić and well-known journalist and editor Kristina Ljevak, who moderated the event.
Highly commendable reviews of the book came from Prof. Dr. Nikica Gilic, from the University of Zagreb and Prof. Dr. Radenko Ranković from the University of Arts in Belgrade. The book consists of the film reviews, articles and essays on film theory, film studies, art and aesthetics discussions, and film criticism.
In the atmosphere resembling the first film screening of the Paris Cafe in 1895, the audience was involved in a debate about film theory and state of the film industry today. National TV News, magazines, newspapers and web portals reported on this event and the publicity of IUS was highly increased as the author of the book is our professor, and press reports and book reviews indicated this information.
Minister of Culture attended the book launch and especially congratulated the author.
