Today, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) campus came alive with color, music, and energy as students and staff gathered on the main grass lawn to celebrate the highly anticipated Spring Festival. With clear blue skies and warm sunshine overhead, the IUS community embraced the perfect weather to enjoy a day filled with outdoor fun, cultural exchange, and vibrant student spirit.
Among the many attractions were thrilling sports tournaments, including volleyball and a highly popular chess tournament, which also marked the debut activity of the newly formed IUS Chess Club. The tournament drew a large number of students eager to test their skills in a lively and competitive atmosphere, proving the club’s promising future on campus.
The festival’s creative side shone through with art competitions, bracelet making, cupcake decoration, henna drawing, and a hands-on Soap Production Workshop—inviting students to explore their artistic and DIY talents.
Food lovers were treated to a delicious variety at the International Food Bazaar, where students proudly shared dishes from their home countries. The experience was made even sweeter with ice cream, barbecue, bubble tea and colorful desserts that added flavor and flair to the festivities.
Throughout the day, music from the IUS Music Club and guest DJ Mr. Rager together with IUS rising star Emira Nur Muftić created an upbeat and festive atmosphere, keeping energy levels high and encouraging everyone to dance, laugh, and make the most of every moment.
The combination of beautiful weather, diverse activities, and community spirit made the Spring Festival a standout event, reinforcing the vibrant, inclusive culture that defines life at IUS.
As we move toward the end of the academic year, today’s celebration served as a joyful reminder of the importance of balance - of studying hard, living fully, and sharing memorable experiences together.
