Representatives of the Association of Independent Industrialists in Turkey (MUSIAD) and the Representatives of the Foundation for the Development of Relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIGMEV) visited the International University of Sarajevo, on Monday, September 23rd, 2013.
Distinguished guests were welcomed by IUS Rector, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu, adviser to IUS Rector, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hasan Korkut and the newly elected Dean of the Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA), Prof. Dr. Recai Aydin .
Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu informed the guests about the current work of the International University of Sarajevo, its principles and continuous improvement of the teaching quality as well as speed of service to students and business partners .
Prof. Hasan Korkut presented the work of IUS as well, he spoke about the structure of its students and professors, as well as instructional capacities and future plans of IUS.
The aim of the visit of the MUSAID delegation was to get to know and become closer to the work and activities of the IUS. During the meeting, both sides agreed to work together on projects that will benefit students, with special emphasis on the common organization of conferences and symposiums.
The members of the MUSAID delegation who came to visit are: the President of the MUSIAD organization, Mr. Nail Olpak, the Member of the Managing Board of MUSIAD, Mr. N. Alper Esen , Vice Presidents of MUSIAD, Mr. Eyup Akbal , Mr. Abdurrahman Kaan and Mr.Kemal Yamankaradeniz, as well as Coordinator for International Projects, Mrs. Şeyma Eraz. The BIGMEV delegation was headed by the President, Mr. Muzzafer CILEK and Project Manager for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Selmo Cikotić.
The BIGMEV Foundation was established with a vision to strengthen the existing relations between the Republic of Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina that primarily seeks to promote business opportunities in B&H for Turkish businessmen, thus to ensure long-term investments in the country. The Foundation also seeks to support the placement of B&H export products to the Turkish market.
The MUSIAD organization is an Independent Industrialists organization from Turkey, which makes up a large share of overall economic activity in their country. MUSIAD organization includes approximately 18,000 members which covers a third of the gross national income of Turkey. It's practically an organization that holds a complete Turkish economy in almost all of its sectors.
