Representative of the Japanese Embassy visited IUS Rector

Nobumitsu Kamio, the first secretary and the head of political department of the Japanese embassy in Sarajevo, visited the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) on Thursday, April 2, 2015. During the visit, Mr. Nobumitsu met with IUS Rector, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu, and discussed about the future cooperation that is related to the organization of major conference, on the occasion of 20 years since the signing of Dayton Peace Agreement. Vice Rector, Assist. Prof. Dr. Muhamed Ali, Dean of the FBA Faculty, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Korkut, Assist. Prof. Dr. Edita Đapo and Senior assistant, Nerkez Opačin attended the meeting along with representative of the Organizing Committee of the DPA conference, Elmina Kulašić. 

The possibilities for participation of several representatives from Japan were discussed as well, and the exchange of students between IUS and Japanese universities. Mr. Kamio has announced the visit of Dosha university representative to IUS, on April 28, 2015. In order to develop cooperation between IUS and Japan, Kamio expressed readiness to symbolically plant sakura trees (Japanese cherry blossoms) at IUS.
