Rector of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu held a meeting with students who live in the student dorms on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. On this occasion, Rector Oğurlu informed the students about different activities that are implemented at our University, and had an interactive and productive conversation with them. Rector Oğurlu also shared information related to infrastructure development of IUS, plans to improve institutional organization system, accreditation, and procedure for recognition of diplomas.
Basic information related to activities for improvement of student positions, academic and educational methods of teaching, organization of examinations, procedures for certain disciplinary measures when required for students were presented as well. Rector Oğurlu talked about development and changes related to general infrastructure and mentioned the work of the Student Center, Social, Cultural and Health Activities Department (SACHS), and important awards that have been given to our University. During the meeting, Rector talked about other services available to students as well - IT services, safety and places to stay in the campus, UNIPA automatic system and extra-curricular activities - television studio, Econ-Lab, VACD department, and Art Gallery. Rector Oğurlu will continue to have meetings with students in the upcoming period.
