Record Student Turnout in IUS End-of-Semester Student Survey

The student survey at IUS allows students to voice their opinion on many issues, and provide lecturers with meaningful feedback, and allows IUS to incorporate student voice to facilitate learning.

Latest IUS Student Questionnaire conducted in January 2017 consisted of three parts, and students were given an opportunity to reflect on the course, and to state opinions on things that might have influenced their success. The students assessed the lecturer, the course design and the teaching assistant.

Some of the questions the students were the following: The lecturer presented material in ways that assisted my learning; The lecturer provided timely and constructive feedback on assessment tasks; The course was well organized and coordinated to help me learn effectively, etc.

The survey was administered by IUS Quality Assurance Office and supported by the IUS Rectorate and management. The survey was conducted in pen and paper by visiting classrooms at the end of semester, before final exams.

The survey resulted in feedback of 4547 out of 6650 student replies for all courses, which makes the participation rate 68%. A total of 223 undergraduate and master classes have been assessed.

We hope that the student feedback will make (I)US better!
