FBA students from the Investment and Portfolio Management course at the International University of Sarajevo, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Šejma Aydin, visited Raiffeisen INVEST BiH for a structured visit focused on investment operations and career opportunities in the financial sector.
The visit began with a welcome from Mr. Edin Hrnjica, President of the Supervisory Board, who greeted the students and gave introductory remarks about the strategic direction of Raiffeisen INVEST.
Next, Ms. Eldina Dizdarević, Head of Front Office and Portfolio Manager, and Mr. Ademir Osmanović, CFA, CEO, held a detailed session on the company’s investment services, portfolio management strategies, and the structure and role of the capital market in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The discussion also touched upon recent trends in investment behavior and macroeconomic developments specific to the local context.
This was followed by a session with Mr. Vedad Bihorac, Product Owner for Digital Services PI at Raiffeisen Bank dd BiH, who presented the bank’s new mobile trading feature. As the first solution of its kind in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it enables retail investors to trade directly through their mobile phones and represents a significant step toward improving accessibility and digitalization in the local investment market.
Toward the end of the visit, Ms. Nejra Hodžić and Ms. Alma Puščulović, Associates for Human Resources Consulting at Raiffeisen Bank dd BiH, presented internship opportunities available to university students. They also announced an upcoming on-campus workshop focused on job preparation and professional development.
Students also had the chance to meet Ms. Lejla Mahir, PI Sales Manager at Raiffeisen Bank dd BiH, Ms. Sumeja Boja, Portfolio Management and Sales Support Specialist, and Ms. Sabina Topuzović, Executive Director, who shared brief insights during the visit and took part in the final discussion.
The visit concluded with a lively Q&A session, where students exchanged thoughts with company representatives on current market developments and the financial environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The discussion sparked great interest, and students expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming on-campus workshop and the opportunity to collaborate more closely with Raiffeisen in the future.
