Meeting on Erasmus+ mobility project held at IUS

On Tuesday, November 1, 2016, Meeting on Erasmus+ mobility project KA107 2016/2017 held at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS). Eight universities from six countries participate in this program including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Kosovo.

The main project coordinator is Turkish Afyon Kocatepe University from Afyonkarahisar which was initiator and organizer of this meeting at IUS. During the work meeting, the participants presented their work and development of their insitutions, analyzed the possibilities of future cooperations and project realization in the near future.

The Afyon Kocatepe University delegation was consisted of director of International Relations Office Dr. Mustafa Güller and his assistants Dr. Erol Ayhan and Dr. Günnur Peşmen. This state University was founded in 1992 and today it has 46.000 students and 1078 staff members.

For the first time in the history, IUS was visited by representatives of the university from Ukraine - Oleksandr Dovzhenko Hlukhiv National Pedagogical University from Gluhiv. Respected guests from Ukraine who visited IUS were: Halyna Kuznetsova, Vice-Rector and Mrs. Vira Butova, English language professor at the Department of Psychology.

Oleksandr Dovzhenko Hlukhiv National Pedagogical University is the famous university founded 130 years ago. Throughout its history, the University was a witness of many political, social, economic events that have marked this country.

After work meeting, the respected guests had the opportunity to visit IUS rector Prof. Dr. Tahsin Erkan Türe who welcomed them in the Rectorate.

During the Sarajevo visit, the guests also visited the representatives of University of Sarajevo (UNSA) which also was partner in this exchange project.
