On Wednesday, March 5th 2014, at International University of Sarajevo, the head of Department for Patents from Institute for Intellectual Property of BiH, Mrs Irma Isak – Gudelj, gave a lecture titled "Patents – application process of BiH".
At very beginning, Mrs Irma Isak – Gudelj introduced to everyone relevant facts about work of Institute of Intellectual Property of BiH, which was primarily a legal heritor of Institute for Standardization, Metrology and Intellectual Property of BiH (1992) and from the year 2007 it has a status of an independent state institution.
The Lecture was useful for professors and students, considering the fact that everyone who was present there got the main information about what is patent, how to protect it in BiH and abroad, why is important to protect your patent and what kind of benefits we could get from it.
"I do not regret that others stole my ideas. I am sorry they do not have their own". With this quote from Nikola Tesla, Mrs Irma Isak – Gudelj, finished her lecture and indicated the importance and value of protection of patent.
The lecture of Mrs Irma Isak – Gudelj was organized by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kusakçi, lecturer from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering of International University of Sarajevo, and also a Manager of the Research Center of the IUS.
