On Monday, October 7, 2024, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) had the honor of hosting the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey, Mr. Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, for an official visit. The distinguished guest was warmly welcomed by the President of the SEDEF Foundation, Mr. Hasan Topaloğlu, the President of the IUS Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Sevgi Kurtulmuş, and the IUS Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım.
During the visit, Minister Uraloğlu was introduced to the university's ongoing academic and infrastructure projects, underscoring IUS's commitment to excellence in education and its strong ties with Turkiye. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange ideas on future collaborations and initiatives aimed at strengthening the educational and infrastructural connections between Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Prior to visiting IUS, Minister Uraloğlu traveled to Buturović Polje near Konjic, an area severely impacted by recent flooding that affected several Bosnian cities. His visit underscores Turkey's commitment to supporting Bosnia and Herzegovina during challenging times.
