IUS Partner University İTÜ Ranked 1st in Türkiye

The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) is proud to highlight the outstanding success of Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ), one of its Turkish partner universities in the IUS Double Diploma Program.

According to the QS World University Rankings 2027, İTÜ achieved a major international result by ranking 1st in Türkiye and 279th globally. This achievement confirms İTÜ’s strong academic reputation, research capacity, and international visibility.

The QS World University Rankings are among the most recognized global university rankings, evaluating institutions according to indicators such as academic reputation, employer reputation, research impact, internationalization, and sustainability. For students and universities worldwide, these rankings serve as an important indicator of academic quality and global competitiveness.

With its 253-year tradition, İTÜ is one of Türkiye’s most respected and historically significant universities, widely recognized for its excellence in engineering, architecture, science, technology, and innovation. Its latest ranking success reflects continued progress in research intensity, citation performance, and employer reputation.

The partnership between IUS and İTÜ is especially important through the Double Diploma Program, which allows students to study in both Sarajevo and Istanbul and benefit from two academic systems. The joint study programs currently implemented between IUS and İTÜ are Mechanical Engineering, Economics, Architecture, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Bioengineering.

Upon successful completion of the four-year program, students receive two separate diplomas: one from IUS and one from İTÜ. This gives graduates a valuable international academic experience and strengthens their opportunities for future study and employment.

IUS congratulates Istanbul Technical University on this remarkable achievement and looks forward to continuing its successful cooperation through the Double Diploma Program.
