Last week, representatives of IUS Lifelong Learning Center, Ms. Mirsada Mehremić and Ms. Sibela Beširević, participated in the final transnational project meeting of the DC VET WB project, hosted by vocational school IES Pedro de Tolosa in San Martín de Valdeiglesias, Spain.
The meeting marked the conclusion of three years of work across five work packages, highlighting how the project has made an impact on VET education, particularly in terms of digitalization and innovation.
The final year of the project was especially defined by key results, including the Toolkit on inclusion, the E-learning platform titled VET Going International, an online webinar, and the project highlight - the successful organization of blended mobility in Albania, led by the Albanian Skills, a project partner.
During the visit, the project team also had the opportunity to tour the host school and meet students. IES Pedro de Tolosa is a vocational school with 850 students, offering electrotechnical programs as well as training for medical technicians.
Additionally, the consortium visited IES Felipe Trigo in Móstoles, near Madrid. This large and highly successful VET school educates around 1,300 students and offers a wide range of vocational and technical programs, focusing in particular on high demand occupation such as automotive mechanics and automation specialists.
Thanks to the kind support of the school director, Carlos Olague De Smithson, IUS representatives had the opportunity to present the International University of Sarajevo and IUS Life, together with other members of the DC VET WB consortium.
The DC VET WB project will officially conclude by the end of this year, after three years of intensive collaboration.
We would like to sincerely thank all partner institutions and organizations that supported and contributed to the successful implementation of this project.
