The IUS Psychology (PSY) study program held its Advisory Board Meeting on May 18, 2026, bringing together external board members and academic staff for a meaningful discussion on the future development of psychology education.
The meeting included the participation of three external Advisory Board members: Ksenija Kadić, who joined online from Zagreb, Zümra Cengiz, who participated online from Antalya, and Sajra Hodžić, who attended the meeting in person in Sarajevo. Full-time and part-time academic staff of the Program also took part in the discussion, contributing to an open and collaborative exchange of ideas.
A central focus of the meeting was the further strengthening of experiential learning opportunities, the expansion of cooperation-based classroom practices, and the enhancement of students’ hands-on professional skills. Through the exchange of perspectives between academic staff and external professionals, the meeting offered valuable insight into how the Program can continue to support students in developing the competencies needed for contemporary professional practice.
In addition to discussing practice-oriented learning, participants also explored the growing role of digital tools and artificial intelligence in teaching and learning processes. Special attention was given to the ways these innovations can contribute to skill development, student engagement, and the future-oriented quality of psychology education. The discussion highlighted the importance of thoughtfully integrating emerging technologies into the educational environment while maintaining a strong focus on academic quality and professional relevance.
