On Wednesday, December 20, 2023, the Faculty of Law (FLW) at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) organized a meaningful visit for its students to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Accompanied by the FLW Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ena Kazić-Çakar, and Senior Assistant Dr. Sc. Mirza Ljubović, the student delegation was welcomed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Mr. Elmedin Konaković.
Minister Konaković warmly addressed the students, encouraging them to engage and pose questions. Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Edin Dilberović, delivered a lecture elucidating the pivotal role of the Ministry in Bosnia and Herzegovina's European Union integration process. The session concluded with a presentation by Ms. Lejla Hadžić, Head of the Department for International Legal Affairs, offering insights into the procedures for concluding international agreements.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception and insightful program, the FLW delegation gained valuable firsthand knowledge of the Ministry's functions and its role in the country's international relations. The event marks a significant step towards fostering a deeper understanding of diplomatic affairs among the future legal professionals of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
