International University of Sarajevo (IUS) in cooperation with School of Advanced Studies, Tyumen State University from Tyumen, Russia organized a first online Balkans Clinical Neuroscience symposium (BCNS) from September 11- September 12, 2021 with the contributions of eminent academicians from five different countries. The symposium brought together psychiatrists, neuroscientists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, psychologists and researchers from around the world to discuss the latest developments in science, technology, neurobiology and treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders. Participants of the BCNS had the chance to develop their academic, research and clinical skills in the above mentioned fields.
Organizers of the symposium Associate Professor Dr. Pınar Ünal- Aydın, Associate Professor Dr. Orkun Aydın and Associate Professor Dr. Ayla Arslan, emphasized the importance of fostering progress, collaboration and networking in the area of neuroscience in the Balkans. Attendees of the BCNS exchanged and shared their research on all aspects of clinical neuroscience and fostered investigation and treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders, critically appraising research in neuroscience and the newest technological advances in related biomedicine. All symposium submissions were peer-reviewed and accepted abstracts for oral presentation were published in the Abstract Book.
