On Monday, December 1, 2025, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from Yeditepe University, consisting of Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Durman, Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Ece Ceylan Baba, and Rector’s Advisor and Student Center Coordinator Ms. Ayşegül Gülbay. The delegation was warmly received by IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı and Assoc. Prof. Muhammed Yasir Göz, Vice-Rector for General Affairs.
The visit marked an important step toward strengthening international academic cooperation between the two institutions. During the meeting, discussions focused on expanding opportunities for collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement establishes a framework for future partnership in key areas, including Erasmus+ cooperation, student and academic staff exchange, as well as joint initiatives in education and professional training.
This new partnership aims to promote academic mobility, enhance cross-cultural learning experiences, and foster knowledge exchange between students and faculty members of both universities. Through collaborative projects and exchange programs, the institutions look forward to providing enriched academic opportunities and strengthening their global engagement.
Both delegations expressed strong mutual interest in developing meaningful and long-term cooperation, emphasizing the shared commitment of IUS and Yeditepe University to academic excellence, internationalization, and student-focused education.
