ISTANBUL: IR student Mirza Rastoder participated in the II. International Student Symposium

On December 24-25, 2016, International Student Associations Federation (UDEF) in a cooperation with the Istanbul University organized the II.  International Student Symposium attended by prominent academicians and NGO representatives in the field of international education at the Istanbul University Congress Center. On the recommendation of Advisor to and Representative for the Rector Assist. Prof. Dr. Muhamed Ali, student of IR Mirza Rastoder represented Bosnia and Herzegovina with the research topic: “New weapon of America - Education“.

Istanbul University organized the II. International Student Symposium in order to solve the problems experienced by students from all around the world who study in Turkey. The opening ceremony of the II. International Student Symposium was held in Istanbul. Symposium hosted Bağcılar Mayor Lokman Çağırıcı, Deputy of Istanbul Hasan Turan, Rector of Istanbul University Dr. Mahmut Ak, Mufti of Istanbul Dr. Rahmi Yaran, International Student Associations Federation President Mehmet Ali Bolat, YÖK Executive Committee Member Dr. Rahimir, academicians from Turkey and abroad, many local and international students. During the conference the following topics were discussed: the problems encountered by international students in the educational process, the level of satisfaction with education, the policies and aims of state and foundation universities toward international students, the display of country and higher education sectors towards international students and their philosophy,  approach, and understanding.

Mirza expressed his satisfaction for being a participant of this project, saying, "With the guns you can kill terrorists, but with the education you can kill terrorism."
