In early March 2015, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute of East and Southeast European Studies (IOS) Regensburg (Germany). IOS is one of the largest independent research institutions of this kind in Germany. The Institute was formed in order to promote interdisciplinary, transnational and comparative research, particularly in the field of history and economics, with a focus on the countries of Eastern and South Eastern Europe. As first step of established cooperation, Assist. Prof. Dr. Nermin Oruč, lecturer at the Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA), participated in month of March at IOS, at the workshop titled "Socio-economic development of the Western Balkans".
Signed Memorandum between IUS and IOS includes a range of activities: exchange of best ideas, experiences and practices, launch of joint research projects, seminars, conferences, workshops, exchange of researchers, as well as preparation and publication of academic findings and papers. The process of signing the Memorandum of Understanding was coordinated by International Relations Office of IUS, in cooperation with Assist. Prof. Dr. Nermin Oruč.
