On the occasion of cooperation with “Narodna kuhinja” in Sarajevo, members of EMSA club decided to volunteer on certain days, and in that way contribute and help our citizens.
On Friday, December 9, 2016, Vildana Buljubašić and Amila Bahor volunteered at “Narodna kuhinja” in Sarajevo, and in a few hours they spent in the kitchen they collected many impressions, asking people to help as much as they can but also to appreciate what they have.
“I am afraid that the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina is such that the work of the “Narodna kuhinja” is very much needed. Fortunately, there are people who are in a better financial situation, and regularly donate food and cooking utensils. Employees are very friendly and most importantly, they held to workspace hygiene. Also they try to remember the names of all users, and how many members were reported on a single card. The food is freshly made, and they try to share it while it is still very hot. Every day different food is made, and on Fridays dry rations are shared for the weekend. One person is responsible for the distribution of food and for marking the day when food is taken and help people to pack it in their bags. It's a lot of work, considering how many people a day come to take their meal. Staffs very willingly bring happiness to the faces of the people. This way I appealed to those who have the potentiality to help the work of “Narodna kuhinja” and allow these people to have a better meal, and those who have the time to visit “Narodna kuhinja” and help employees to create and share meals because it means a lot, but I'm sure it will mean to those who spend time in “Narodna kuhinja” also, because theyn will appreciate more what they have when they see how other people live.”- said Vildana as a review of the previous day, full of new experiences and impressions.
EMSA club will in the future continue this kind of cooperation with the “Narodna kuhinja”, and send their members to participate in such society useful projects.
