The IUS Art Gallery hosted the opening ceremony of the "Third Annual VACD Staff Exhibition" on November 13, 2024, showcasing the creative works of professors and assistants from the Visual Arts and Visual Communications Design (VACD) program.
The exhibition features pieces by Assistant Professor Dr. Emir Hambo, Full Professor Dr. Meliha Teparić, Associate Professor Muhammed Yasir Göz, MA, Associate Professor Branko Vekić, MFA, Associate Professor Roman Sulejmanpašić, MFA, Assistant Professor Abdulhamit Bolat, MA, Assistant Professor Nejira Mulahmetović, MA and assistants Ermina Ušanović, Dženeta Valjevac, Dino Šahović, as well as Adjunct Instructors Nadir Herić and Tatjana Kovačević-Vidović.
The pieces on display encompass a variety of media and artistic techniques, including mixed media digital design, 3ds Max, Fstorm, After Effects, and digital infographic design, as well as more traditional forms such as graphic design, painting, and crafts. Additionally, the exhibit integrates art theory, inviting viewers to not only enjoy the visual elements but also engage with the conceptual underpinnings of the works. This dynamic collection exemplifies the VACD’s interdisciplinary approach to art and design, encouraging exploration, reflection, and dialogue.
