The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) is proud to announce the successful habilitation of Associate Professor Dr. Tomasz E. Malec, a valued faculty member of the Architecture (ARCH) study program.
Dr. Malec defended his habilitation on Friday, April 11, 2025, at the Academy of Silesia in Katowice, marking a significant milestone in his academic career. The defense took place between 11:00 and 17:00 before a distinguished scientific committee of seven renowned professors, including four official reviewers who assessed his scientific, educational, and professional accomplishments. The committee was composed of leading experts in architecture and urban planning from prominent academic institutions in Warsaw, Cracow, Poznań, and Gdańsk.
The event was graced by the presence of high-ranking academic officials, including the university chancellor, rector, dean, vice-deans, as well as esteemed professors of architecture and academic colleagues, making it a truly memorable and honorable occasion.
