VACD and MAC Hold Joint Advisory Board Meeting

The Visual Arts and Visual Communications Design (VACD) and Media and Communication (MAC) study programs at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) recently held a joint Advisory Board Meeting, bringing together distinguished professionals from the creative and communication industries.

The meeting served as an important platform for dialogue between academia and industry, gathering advisory board members whose professional expertise and insights will contribute to shaping the future direction of both programs. Through this exchange, the VACD and MAC teams gained valuable perspectives on current developments in the fields of design, media, communication, and creative practice, as well as on the evolving expectations of the professional environment.

The discussion created an open, constructive, and forward-looking atmosphere, allowing participants to reflect on the current directions of both programs and explore opportunities for further development, collaboration, and innovation. The meeting also reaffirmed the importance of maintaining strong connections with professionals whose work directly reflects the realities and demands of contemporary creative and communication industries.

The VACD Advisory Board members were: Mr. Sanjin Halilović, Senior Designer at Bloomteq; Mr. Mirza Selimović, Senior Visual and UX/UI Designer at ZIRA; and Ms. Samina Tanović, designer, scenographer, art director, and President of ULUPUBiH. 

The MAC Advisory Board members were: Mr. Ahmet Aksoy, PhD, Assistant Professor at Winona State University, Department of Communication & Media; Ms. Zinaida Jamakosmanović, CEO & Founder of ZI Public Relations Consultancy; and Ms. Sanela Tunović, PhD, Senior Communication Expert at Via Media Marketing & Communication Agency 

Following the discussion, both VACD and MAC will continue refining their strategic priorities in line with the valuable feedback and recommendations shared during the meeting. This joint initiative reflects the ongoing commitment of both programs to continuous improvement, relevance, and strong collaboration with the professional community.
