A Member of the Advisory Board of the State of Kuwait visited IUS

A member of the Advisory Board of the State of Kuwait and the former Minister of Waqf and Islamic Affairs of Kuwait, Mr. Jamal Ahmad Al-Shihab visited the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), on Friday, September 27th, 2013.

Distinguished guest was welcomed by the Rector of the International University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu, Adviser to IUS Rector, Asst Prof. Dr. Hasan Korkut, and Coordinator of the Office for International Relations at IUS, Prof. Mesut Idriz.

At the beginning of the meeting, Rector Oğurlu informed the guest about the current educational facilities, set goals and plans of IUS, the structure of professors and students, as well as future activities in the field of recognition and promotion of the International University of Sarajevo in the world.

During the meeting, Rector Oğurlu specifically talked about the possibility of closer cooperation in various projects with the educational institutions of the State of Kuwait in the field of social, technological and engineering sciences, as well as arrival and exchange of students from these countries for their studies at IUS.

The possibility of cooperation between the International University of Sarajevo with educational institutions in Kuwait is an opportunity to which special attention should be given, and an appropriate way found so that the presence of IUS is noticed in those states as well, said Rector Oğurlu.

At the end of the meeting, the Member of the Advisory Board of the State of Kuwait, and former Minister of Waqf and Islamic Affairs of Kuwait, Mr. Jamal Ahmad Al-Shihab invited the representatives of the International University of Sarajevo to come for a visit to Kuwait, where further discussions with concrete cooperation and agreement on joint projects could be discussed. The invitation was gladly accepted by the representatives of IUS.

At the end of the visit the guests exchanged appropriate gifts.
