VACD Students Explore Monotype Printmaking with Artist Eldina Kožljak

Workshop

On Thursday, April 3, 2025, the IUS Art Gallery, in collaboration with the Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design (VACD) study program, organized an engaging and educational Monotype printmaking workshop. Under the guidance of Full Professor Dr. Meliha Teparić, the event featured the distinguished artist Ms. Eldina Kožljak, whose solo exhibition is currently on display in the IUS Art Gallery.

The workshop took place at Arka – Art and Education Center Sarajevo, providing VACD students with a unique hands-on opportunity to explore the artistic process behind monotype printmaking. Through direct interaction with the artist and the creative process, students deepened their understanding of the traditional printing techniques they previously studied in the History of Graphic Design course, bringing theory to life through practice.

This enriching experience not only enhanced students’ technical skills but also encouraged creative exploration and critical thinking. Events like this reflect IUS’s dedication to providing experiential learning opportunities that connect students with the broader art community, inspire their artistic growth, and prepare them for professional careers in visual arts and design.
