Following the legal framework for universities in nation-wide and international accreditation process, Bosnian-Herzegovinian universities have started collaboration in a joint project “Strengthening Higher Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina III” organized by the Council of Europe and European Commission.
As a part of this project, that aims of assisting Bosnia and Herzegovina with the implementation of Bologna compatible reforms in higher education, International University of Sarajevo hosted meeting of representatives of Bosnian-Herzegovinian universities on October 28th 2009. The meeting was organized by the IUS Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, whose Dean, Kutluk Ozguven gave an opening speech. Ibro Popić, dean of the Faculty for Business Management at the University of Džemal Bijedić chaired the meeting.
The meeting came as a result of two-day workshop held in Zenica on October 16th and 17th 2009 that was attended by the representatives of University of Sarajevo, International University of Sarajevo, Tuzla University, University of Banja Luka, Slobomir P. University, Bihać University, Džemal Bijedic University, University of Mostar, East Sarajevo University and Zenica University. At this workshop it was agreed to have two consecutive cooperation meetings on the topic of standards and accreditation processes.
