Prospective Computer Engineers at CSE “Show and Tell” Workshop

CSE “Show and Tell” Workshop

The Computer Sciences and Engineering (CSE) study program organized an engaging "Show and Tell" workshop for high school students interested in exploring the world of CSE. The Program Coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khaldoun Al-Khalidi, extended a warm welcome to the students, providing a short and insightful introduction to Computer Science and the studying experience at IUS.

Ms. Erna Berbić, a Master's student in CSE, led an interactive workshop entitled "Build your Own LAN in CPT Software Tool." During this session, attendees gained hands-on experience by creating their initial simple network using Cisco Packet Tracer.

A second workshop, led by Assistant Mr. Nedim Kunovac, a Master's student at IUS, focused on Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and its diverse applications. Students learned about the world of OCR through an exploration of its definition, functionality, and various potential uses. The workshop also featured real-life examples, ranging from simple text files to more complex documents such as invoices or receipts.
