Professor Marek Smoluk on the Erasmus + exchange at IUS

With great pleasure, International University of Sarajevo has welcomed Prof. Dr. Marek Smoluk, a renowned Polish professor from the University of Zielona Gora. Professor Smoluk will stay at IUS within Erasmus+ academic exchange program during the period from 10 to 14 October 2016.

Marek Smoluk is an associate professor at the Institute of Modern Languages of the University of Zielona Gora. During the last 20 years, he has been actively engaged in teaching and scientific-research activities in the field of British history and culture, with particular focus on the age of Tudor and Stuart realms.

Prof. Smoluk has authored many books and articles in the field of British history which have been published in scientific journals in England and Poland.

Within the planned Erasmus + scheme of lecturing, Professor Smoluk held the lecture on the topic: "Not lost in the Wash" for students of the program English Language and Literature (ELIT). The lecture attracted great attention of students and academic staff of IUS.

Erasmus+ cooperation with the University of Zielona Gora has enabled student, academic and administrative exchange between the two universities. The cooperation has been established thanks to the initiative of ELIT program coordinator, assist. prof. dr. Nudžejma Obralić and professor Smoluk, with the coordination of International Relations Office of IUS and the University of Zielona Gora.
