In the past week, orientation events were held for freshmen students at the IUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) and at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS).
At the beginning of FASS Freshmen Orientation held on October 18, 2017, Dr. Mustafa Bal, Dean of FASS opened the event with his address, whilst program coordinators gave introductions to their respective study programs. The other topics that were discussed in the Q&A session were course registration, add-drop period, course withdrawal, attendance policy, etc.
FENS Freshmen Students Orientation Day was held on Oct. 19. At the beginning of the program Dr. Sabina Semiz, Dean of FENS, wished a warm welcome to first-year students, whilst program coordinators gave them useful advice about their study programs. Faculty secretary of FENS talked about ECTS credits, academic calendar, student mobility, rules on cheating, add-drop period, and other topics.
