Students of the Faculty of Architecture of University of Belgrade in cooperation with the Student Parliament of the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade hosted the Architecture Student Congress (ASK). Each year this Congress brings together students of architecture from all countries of former Yugoslavia. This 14th Congress took place from 21 - 24 May 2015 in Belgrade and the topic of this year's ASK was "Young architects in practice - what after college?" The main goal of the Congress was to introduce students to the possibilities within their professional field immediately after graduation. IUS students participated at this year's Congress and older fellow architects who are more experienced noticed the young IUS architects as well.
IUS is the only private university that participated in the Congress. It is important to emphasize those excellent and successful students, Senad Alibegović and Yusuf Ozkurtulus from the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS) represented the IUS. '' I’d like to mention that IUS Rector, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu funded the participation in the Congress with a hope that this successful story of IUS spreads to other young people in the region. This is what happened to us, because we have jointly achieved remarkable results. I thank Rector Oğurlu for his generous support '' - said Senad Alibegović, student at the II cycle of studies at IUS. Senad Alibegović and Yusuf Ozkurtulus gave as a gift 11 books to IUS University Library, on Thursday, June 11, 2015.
