The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) continues its upward trajectory on the global academic stage. According to the latest Webometrics Ranking of World Universities (July 2025), IUS has once again been recognized as the best private university in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a title it has consistently held in previous years.
Moreover, IUS has retained its impressive 4th place among all universities in the country, standing alongside major public institutions and reaffirming its role as a key player in the national academic landscape.
The most notable achievement in this year’s ranking is the improvement in IUS’s global position, advancing to 2261st place worldwide. This marks a significant step forward compared to previous years, when IUS held a position in the 2300–2400 range, showcasing measurable progress in research visibility, web presence, and academic impact.
These results reflect the University’s long-term commitment to quality education, internationalization, and institutional excellence. Through strategic investments in research, innovation, and student-centered learning, IUS continues to enhance its reputation—both in the region and internationally.
