A week-long „First Days of BiH Diaspora – EXPO of BiH Cities 2022“ event organized by Bosnia International Forum (BIF) was held in Sarajevo in the last week of August. IUS was a proud sponsor of the event and took part in a number of its activities in order to raise awareness and promote the IUS brand and values among the BiH diaspora and the local stakeholders.
The event was aimed at establishing closer links between BiH diaspora and the local institutions in their country of origin. One of the key instruments to achieve such a goal is through the launch of a comprehensive online registration system which would serve as a two-way communication channel and would represent the largest and most detailed data base of BiH diaspora. Through numerous panel discussions, meetings with the local mayors and organization of cultural and promotional activities, the event also promoted other projects and services that are planned for the upcoming period in order to strengthen ties with the BiH diaspora. This included the presentation of the „Diaspora Service,“ „Project 5525,“ „Vision BiH 2030“ and „Knowledge and Success Fund“ projects.
By bringing together various actors of different ages and backgrounds such as businessmen and investors, local and state decision-makers, tourism, culture, education, entertainment and sports institution representatives as well as the youth, „First Days of BiH Diaspora – EXPO of BiH Cities 2022“ was one of the most far-reaching happenings of this kind to be held and it aims to become a traditional event held organized throughout the country.
