IUS’s international engagement is evidenced by diversifying of its international activities in line with its strategic goals, mission and vision. By welcoming international visitors through the Erasmus+ exchange programme, IUS tends to extend its global outreach, visibility and sustain and/or establish long-term partnerships.
Along these lines, QA Office hosted visitors from the Internal Audit Department of Babeș-Bolyai University (BBU), Romania, Mr. Dan Mocan and Ms. Zoller Anca Livia, who presented BBU as well as objectives and activities of their respective Department.
Founded in 1581, BBU is amongst the oldest universities in Romania. This public university, with current student body of more than 45,000 students and 22 faculties, is presented as deep-rooted to its tradition in excellence on one hand, but on the other, it follows contemporary trends in higher education.
Ms. Edina Hadžiahmetović and Mr. Mesut Haskul presented internal quality assurance system at IUS as very integrated and functional system, which is made to fit the purpose of a relatively young university.
During the presentation of IUS, special attention was given to the IUS E-campus, the application which is developed in-house, and which is efficiently and effectively used by both internal and external stakeholders, such as students, academicians, administration, competent authorities, research institutions and wider public.
It was concluded that both universities, BBU and IUS share very similar values in quality assurance in higher education and that the future cooperation between the universities should be expanded on more levels.
