IUS Professor on exchange at Marmara University

Assist. Prof. Dr. Joseph Kaminski from Social and Political Sciences Program of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) visited in early October Marmara University in Istanbul, Turkey. Dr. Kaminski is one of the few academicians who were awarded a scholarship under the Mevlana exchange program for professors. During his stay at this prestigious Turkish university, he held several lectures for students and professors in international relations. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ehran Doğan and Assist. Prof. Dr. Özgür Üşenmez, from the International Relations Department of Marmara University was hosts of Prof. Kaminski during his stay "The Mevlana Exchange Program enabled me to learn more about Turkish culture, and it allowed for me to share research experiences with other professors of International Relations.  I also had the opportunity to get in touch with an old friend who now works at Marmara: Assist. Prof. Dr. Özgür Üşenmez. We studied together in the United States many years ago. The academic exchange at Marmara University was a very unique and positive experience." - said Assist. Prof. Dr. Joseph Kaminski. This exchange was realized with the support and coordination of the International Relations Office of IUS.
