The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) had the honor of welcoming a delegation from the Türkiye Maarif Foundation on Thursday, April 9, 2026. The delegation was led by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, Mr. Mahmut Mustafa Özdil.
The guests were warmly received by the Rector of IUS, Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı, together with IUS Board Member Mr. Mehmet Akif Yaman and Vice-Rector for General Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Muhammed Yasir Göz, MA.
The Türkiye Maarif Foundation delegation also included Mr. Hüseyin Şanlı, Representative of the Türkiye Maarif Foundation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Ali Çiçek, Board Member of the Türkiye Maarif Foundation, and Mr. Kemal Bulut, Coordinator for the Balkans and Europe.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed opportunities for enhancing cooperation, strengthening joint projects, and exploring future avenues of collaboration. The visit served as a valuable opportunity to reaffirm mutual commitment to partnership and to further develop ties in areas of shared interest.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı presented a token of appreciation to Mr. Mahmut Mustafa Özdil in recognition of the visit and the spirit of continued cooperation.
