International University of Sarajevo (IUS) proudly announces its inclusion in the prestigious 2024 UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, a testament to its unwavering commitment to sustainability and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The rankings, announced at the 2024 UI GreenMetric Awarding Ceremony hosted by Universidade de São Paulo, celebrate the remarkable efforts of 1,477 universities from 95 countries in integrating sustainable practices across their campuses and academic pursuits. This year marked a significant milestone, with nearly 300 new universities joining the rankings, highlighting the growing global commitment to a sustainable future.
Since its establishment in 2003, IUS has upheld its Mission and Vision to serve as a socially responsible and forward-thinking institution. Over the past five years, IUS has intensified its efforts to integrate the SDGs into all spheres of its operations. From eco-friendly campus initiatives to sustainability-focused academic programs and research, IUS has worked diligently to align its practices with global sustainability standards.
