The II International Turkic Arts, History and Folks Congress was completed successfully on Monday, April 7th, 2014 at International university of Sarajevo. The Congress was organized in cooperation with the Selçuk University, the Association "Support for Research of Cultural Wealth" and the International University of Sarajevo. As part of the program of the Congress, an exhibition of Turkish art and artifacts was opened as well.
The topics that were discussed at the Congress were: Turkish art, history, literature and culture, and the participants were eminent scholars, professors and experts from these fields. On behalf of the Selçuk University, as one of the organizers of the Congress, Mr. Ahmet Aytaç said during his opening speech that he believes that the cooperation in the fields of science and culture contributes to a more stable future.
"We are really happy that we accomplished to complete this project and we thank all those who helped us" - said Mr. Aytaç. Dr. Faris Halili, the Co-organizer of the Congress emphasized that it is very important to maintain good relations between Azerbaijan, Turkey and Bosnia-Herzegovina, because these countries belong to the same civilization. He pointed out that precisely these kinds of congresses, conferences and workshops contribute to preservation of those relationships. IUS Rector, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu said that the Turkish culture is really rich and widespread in different countries of the world.
