The IUS Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA) is proud to share the outstanding achievement of our second-year Management student, Tarik Okerić, who secured the silver medal at the European Cup in Kickboxing held in Sarajevo. Competing in the Light Contact division, Tarik demonstrated remarkable skill, focus, and determination throughout the tournament.
In his opening bout, Tarik delivered a dominant performance against a strong opponent from Croatia, earning a unanimous 3:0 decision victory. The match was intense and high-paced, but he remained composed and tactically sharp from start to finish.
Although he qualified for the final, Tarik was unable to compete due to circumstances beyond his control. After a physically intense semifinal and with only a short recovery window, he was forced to withdraw on medical grounds.
Despite this, his performance earned him a well-deserved silver medal, placing him among Europe’s top athletes in his division.
In his own words:
“This time, I’m bringing home the silver – but I promise that next time, the opponent who had luck on his side in the final will face a different version of me. I’ll prove that I truly belong among the best in the world. See you soon on the tatami, InshAllah – stronger than ever!”
