Exhibition and Panel Discussion to Mark BiH Statehood Day

On Tuesday, November 22, 2022, the IUS Balkan Studies Center (BSC) organized an exhibition titled “Povelje bosanskih vladara i vlastelina (1189-1461)” on the occasion of marking the 25th November, the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The exhibition was created with the aim of introducing the public to historical documents of high importance for the establishment of the state.

Historical events which set the foundations for Bosnia and Herzegovina were presented to the attendees via a teaser video of the movie titled “Bosanski vitez” produced by Mr. Adnan Ćuhara. The movie “Bosanski vitez” will be part of the historical heritage of the country for the future generations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The wider audience will have an opportunity to see the film next year.

In addition, IUS BSC organized a panel discussion titled "Where is BiH heading 30 years after its independence?" The panelists focused on different topics related to our country: Ms. Ajla Cvrljo talked about the historical significance of the 25th November; Ms. Jasmina Ejubović discussed the diversification of BiH foreign policy and its advantages and risks; Ms. Amina Kahriman presented the contemporary challenges in BiH and Ms. Amina Tirić introduced reform processes in BiH. The audience also had an opportunity to ask additional questions and learn more about this topic during a Q&A session.
