As part of a dynamic Erasmus+ exchange program, professors from the Junia School of Science and Engineering of the Catholic University of Lille in France recently brought their expertise to the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), offering enriching workshops for students in the Architecture program. These workshops focused on crucial environmental themes, providing invaluable learning experiences for participants.

One of the workshops, led by Professor Vedrana Ikalovic, was meticulously tailored for Urban History students. Professor Ikalovic's session focused on eco-friendly and sustainable settlements, exploring the historical evolution and modern-day implications of urban development with a strong emphasis on environmental considerations. Students engaged in discussions on innovative approaches to urban planning that prioritize sustainability.

In another enlightening workshop titled 'Climate Fresc,' Professor Ana Ruiz Bowen guided students specializing in Sustainable Design through a thought-provoking exploration of climate-related issues. Professor Bowen's workshop was designed to deepen understanding of climate change and its impact on design practices. Students were encouraged to brainstorm creative solutions that harmonize architecture with environmental sustainability.

These engaging sessions provided a platform for students to broaden their perspectives and develop practical skills in tackling pressing environmental challenges. The exchange of ideas between international educators and students at IUS exemplifies the collaborative spirit of Erasmus+, fostering cross-cultural learning and inspiring a generation of architects and designers committed to sustainable practices.
