Dr. Amal Mersni, representing the IT programs within the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS) at the International University of Sarajevo, took part in Innovation Crunch Time 2026, organized by the Université de Technologie de Belfort-Montbéliard (UTBM), France, from March 16 to 20, 2026, where she contributed as a coach working with student teams throughout the event.
Bringing together around 1,300 students, Innovation Crunch Time 2026 provided a dynamic environment in which multidisciplinary and multicultural teams worked on challenges proposed by companies and socio-economic partners. Throughout the week, participants progressed from problem analysis and idea development to prototyping and final presentations.
Within this framework, Dr. Mersni worked closely with student teams, contributing to discussions and offering feedback on their approaches to real-world challenges. The event also reflected a strong international dimension, bringing together students and academic staff from partner institutions and encouraging exchange across academic and cultural contexts.
More broadly, Innovation Crunch Time highlights an educational approach centered on innovation, teamwork, and close engagement with practical problems, while strengthening links between academia and industry.
