Behance Design and Illustration Exhibition Held at IUS

On Tuesday, May 8, 2017, at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) Art Gallery, Behance design and illustration exhibition was held where visitors could live votes to the best works.

This exhibition was a collective project of the Department of Arts, in which students and teaching staff of the VACD took active part.

Lejla Panjeta, Head of Department of Arts, explained that this was an idea of the IUS student Hasan Delić in cooperation with Senior Assistant Emir Hambo. “In particular, the idea was to organize the exhibition, and to be only place in Sarajevo this year to be a part of this great designer network, which is also significant globally”, said Dr. Panjeta. She also emphasized that the exhibition is another confirmation that the education in the field of visual arts offered at the IUS is the level that is globally relevant.

Many renowned Bosnian-Herzegovinian designers and artists contributed to the exhibition with their presence and discussion, such as Enes Čišić, Emir and Edin Durmišević. The discussion topic was mostly the importance of portfolio for the professional development and creative growth of young artists.

In the conversation with Emir Durmišević, he emphasized that this is one way to promote one’s portfolio, by which students present their work, and that the project is as a matter of fact the combination of youth, experience, and support to students and designers. He said that the organization of the exhibition is a great opportunity for student to show their skills as designers and artists.

Apart from Sarajevo, the exhibition is held this year in Banja Luka and Bijeljina.
